Amy Moylett

Registered Psychologist

In my practice as a registered psychologist, I adapt to meet the needs of each client, incorporating client interests and offering a flexible and client-centered approach. I value the importance of building a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship, where clients feel empowered to explore difficult emotions and take steps outside their comfort zones when they are ready. I believe this strong foundation of trust and collaboration is essential for effective therapy.

I have experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds and across a range of ages. I’ve also worked within educational settings, supporting the needs of neurodiverse students with classroom based strategies. My background includes utilizing a variety of techniques from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, alongside making recommendations for learning adjustments to best support each individual's needs. I also have experience with a range of psychometric assessments, using this information to inform strategies to support clients to do their best going forward.

I am passionate about areas such as LGBTQIA+ issues, family dynamics, relationship and attachment patterns, and the interplay between these experiences and neurodiversity. I am also deeply interested in helping clients understand themselves, their brains, and discovering what strategies work for them to help them cope with the sometimes overwhelming demands of everyday life.

Outside of work I love spending my time on dance, theatre, philosophy and friends and ending the night cuddled up in front of the tv with my cat and dog.
