Short Term Support Sessions

At The Kidd Clinic, we recognise that ongoing allied health sessions are not always possible. This may be due to lengthy waitlists for services, or financial or time constraints. Sometimes, individuals and families are simply needing to prioritise a particular issue to work on, with the support and guidance of an experienced and skilled professional. This could be in the form of a one-off problem solving session or a 3,  6 or 10-session pack focused on developing understanding and skills, and improving identity, hope, relationships, and a plan going forward.

The following sessions often provide educational information to inform understanding of self or others, skills to be able to support ourselves and/or those we care for, and a plan for improving a particular situation.

Please note that while you will be appointed the same clinician for your short term support pack, the times available may vary. It may be that all sessions are booked initially or for some clinicians, the first session will be booked and then upon completion, the next session time will be made dependent on mutual availability.

These sessions are not ongoing however, for some clients, it may be suggested that they seek ongoing therapy (and recommendations can be provided if we do not have capacity). If a client is deemed to be at risk in terms of mental health then sessions may be discontinued and an appropriate referral made.
