Group Programs

Group programs and one-off sessions are run every few months at The Kidd Clinic, covering topics such as anxiety, socialising, gaming, sibling relationships, parent support, and more.

Upcoming Groups

The Kidd Clinic is hosting a five-part in person group for clinically diagnosed, or self-identified, Autistic women over the age of 18. In our therapeutic work, we have noticed there are common areas in which autistic people are seeking support and guidance. We are passionate about providing a safe group space where people can learn from and support others with shared lived experience, and build connections and a sense of community. The sessions will include presentation by facilitators followed by facilitated discussion.

Dates

The 5 sessions will run from 9.30am - 11am on:

  • Saturday 15th February (Autistic Identity)

  • Saturday 1st March (Masking)

  • Saturday 15th March (Social connection)

  • Saturday 29th March (Boundaries)

  • Saturday 12th April (Self-care and compassion)

Cost
The cost is $850, this cost covers all 5 sessions of this group, this cost will need to be paid, even if you cannot make it to one or more of the sessions.

Location
These sessions will be held at 526 Fitzgerald Street, North Perth. There is street parking down the street.

Participants
This group is for adult women, and will be hosted by Miriam Kirby and Melanie Turner. The group will only go ahead if we reach the minimum number of participants. If this minimum is not met, we will contact you to let you know that the group is postponed or cancelled, and you will not be charged.

Welcome to Focus and Flourish. This weekly group is for clinically diagnosed or self-identified women with ADHD over the age of 18. 

Topics will include:

  • Understanding ADHD and your individual neurotype

  • Executive functioning challenges and hacks

  • Emotion regulation & rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD)

  • Improving relationships and communication

  • Burnout & self-support habits

  • Celebrating neurodivergent strengths and identity

  • Friday 7th February (12.30pm - 2pm)

  • Friday 14th February (12.30pm - 2pm)

  • Friday 21st February (12.30pm - 2pm)

  • Friday 28th February (12.30pm - 2pm)

  • Friday 7th March (12.30pm - 2pm)

  • Friday 14th March (12.30pm - 2pm)

Cost
The cost per person is $800, this cost covers all 6 sessions of this group, this cost will need to be paid, even if you cannot make it to one or more of the sessions.

Location
These sessions will be held at 17 Parry Street, Fremantle. There is paid parking down the street.

Participants
This group is for adult women aged 18 and over. The group will only go ahead if we reach the minimum number of participants. If this minimum is not met, we will contact you to let you know that the group is postponed or cancelled, and you will not be charged.

This online group for parents will run every second month.

Cost
The cost per person, per session is $57, this cost will need to be paid upfront prior to the group, even if you cannot make it on the day.

This session will be held online (Telehealth)

Participants
This group is for parents, and will be hosted by Helan or Yeji

General Groups Information

Cost
Our groups are charged by total cost, the quote includes all group sessions within a program. The cost will need to be paid to secure your spot, even if you cannot make it to one or more of the sessions, or cancel part-way through the group.

Funding
If you have NDIS funding, you will need to chat to your LAC or plan manager to ask if the group will be covered by your funding, everyone’s plan is different. We are not NDIA registered. If you are plan-managed and would like to pay after the date of the group, you will need to obtain a service booking or confirmation of funds from your plan manager prior to the start of the group.

Rebates
Medicare Rebates can occasionally be used, depending on the type of group, and the type of clinician running the sessions.

Cancellations
Due to the planning and resources needed to run groups, we require 7 business days notice if your circumstances change. Cancellations can affect the viability of the group, and they may not be able to run without the right number of attendees. If you cancel within 7 business days we will charge a cancellation fee (equal to the full cost of the group).

Confirming your place
If you would like to confirm your place in a group, you can purchase your ticket here (see below for a guide to using our online portal).
If you are a plan-managed NDIS client, please get in touch at groups@kiddclinic.com.au to secure your place.

Our groups book up quickly, so lock in your place as soon as possible. If the group is booked at capacity, you are welcome to join a cancellation list for the group, and to express your interest in possible future editions of the group.

Using the Online Portal

  1. Head to our online portal and login or create your account.

  2. Select ‘Book Class’.

  3. If the option is available, choose the location of your group.

  4. If the portal prompts you to select a practitioner, choose ‘Group Programs’.

  5. Click through the calendar to the date of the group that you would like to attend. Select the date and group, and make your payment.

Please Note:
If you are booking into an ongoing group with multiple sessions, please select only the first session date. The price you are charged is the total cost and will cover all sessions, cancellation fees apply.
