Post Diagnostic Support Sessions
Adult ADHD
Following an adult ADHD diagnosis, navigating the next steps can feel overwhelming, but support is available to help make sense of this new way of understanding your neurotype. The Kidd Clinic psychologists offer four sessions specifically for adults recently diagnosed with ADHD. These sessions focus on building a comprehensive understanding of ADHD, reflecting on its impact, and developing strategies for managing difficulties that may impact daily life and relationships. You can explore how ADHD has influenced your past experiences and learn to integrate this new perspective into daily life, addressing both challenges and your unique strengths.
The sessions also provide a supportive space to discuss common emotional responses, such as relief, grief, or frustration, and to work through feelings of loss or missed opportunities. By offering tailored guidance, our psychologists can help you build practical strategies, improve self-advocacy skills, and consider how ADHD might shape your future choices and relationships.
