Post Diagnostic Support Sessions
Adolescent ADHD
Receiving a diagnosis of ADHD may come as a relief for some adolescents and families as it provides a clear understanding of their experiences; for others, it might take time to understand what ADHD is, how having this neurotype may impact daily life, and what strategies and supports may be helpful. For some teens, it can be helpful to have someone to talk with who can validate and normalise their experiences following many schooling years of being misunderstood.
To help begin this journey, we’ve created this support pack to help teens better understand their strengths and needs, and discover how their brain works. Many people come to view ADHD as a meaningful part of their identity, and this 3-session pack will support your teen to discover what ADHD might mean for them. Our goal is to help your child understand the role ADHD plays in their life and to provide strategies, resources and support available through The Kidd Clinic and beyond.
